“Every good tree bears good fruits.” This is the principle of our philosophy.  All people are created equal, with fundamental duties and rights, including social-economical duties and rights to pursue happiness.  At Washington University of Virginia, we are committed to help our students bear good fruits in life and contribute to the community.

Washington University of Virginia exists to help men and women develop skills to reach people effectively for Christ by promoting life-long learning, Christian leadership, and service in all aspects of life and ministry, so that they may make meaningful contributions to tomorrow’s world.

    Departments and Programs

Washington University of Virginia offers undergraduate and graduate courseworks through our five major schools. We also operate one of the largest English as a Second Language Programs in Northern Virginia through our Lingua Franca Institute. We believe higher-education must be grounded with foundational principles to challenge the fast-changing world.

The WUV academic experience is firmly rooted in each of our ten undergraduate and graduate colleges and schools. Each school has a distinct identity, yet all work together to create a dynamic and interdisciplinary learning environment.
